Elementary School

Parents and the CIC!

Parents are a very important part of our school community and we love having parents come visit the CIC! We have lots of great books that you will love sharing with your children.  Please come in to read, borrow books, and use the Internet.  We have books in English as well as many other languages.  If you need any assistance in using our library, logging into our online resources, or finding great books, please let us know.

Your Patron Account

Did you know you can read e-books and also see what books you have out by logging into our website?  If you do not know your username and password, please ask any of our CIC staff. They are happy to help you.

Parent Volunteers

Would you like to volunteer in the CIC?  We would love your help.  We can always use help with cutting labels, shelving books, translating titles, and making interesting displays.  Please talk with CIC staff if you would like to volunteer.

Parent Online Resources

Here are some online resources you may also find of interest.  If there are other websites you think we should add to this list, please let us know.

Book Donation in Other Languages

We would like to make sure there are books in every language available here in our CIC.  Please think of us when your children outgrow their books at home or before you move away from Chennai.  We would love to add your home language books to our world languages collection.  This will help future generations of students here at AISC from your home country.

Friendly Reminders

1. We want to make this the best learning space possible for students.  Please keep tables, computers, and seating areas free for students when classes are in the CIC.

2. You are welcome to use our printing services and ask that you keep printing limited to school-related material.

3. Per elementary school policy, students in preschool-grade five need to be supervised by a parent after school anywhere on campus, including the CIC.  However, students in grades 4 and 5 can use the CIC independently after school if they join our CIC After School Activity.  Please click here for more information:
